This is crazy! I can’t do all this, “bout to loose my mind, up in here, up in here.” I don’t know if you can identify with a thought process like that or not. But, if you are a high output leader, I’m sure you can!

I’m sitting in a hotel room in Mississippi (10hr  drive from home), I’m here serving my wife on a work project that had simply overwhelmed her, and she really needed my help. Through tears and shaking hands she asked me, no really begged me to take a couple days off “church stuff” to help her. “How can I do that!??” (more…)

A one man army spells…DEFEAT!

I remember several years ago, after planting a growing church, family was good, ministry was good, time with God was good, but there was a deep emptiness inside I couldn’t explain, or really identify. After “dealing” with this for a time, I was invited to join a group of other pastors from my state that were pastoring (more…)

So I was reading a business blog the other day, “Lessons Entrepreneurs Should Learn From The Navy Seals.” The author based the article on the book  Leadership Lessons of the Navy Seals. Being a HUGE Navy Seals fan, needless to say this caught my attention! If I can learn to lead from guys that can inspire others to lay down their lives for those on their team, I want some of that! We need to understand the things we say and do may not match or even  slightly resemble our intention. Intention is not perception. What others hear and  experience will be “perceived” in a real and impactful way. So we must always ask this question: “How will this be perceived?” (more…)

Screen shot 2010-03-27 at 12.10.30 PMBeing a pastor and leader for almost 30 years (I know I don’t look that old, thanks!), I have heard it all, seen it all, witnessed it all & seen all TOO MUCH! But in the middle of hearing God’s voice, intensely following God’s lead, getting your praise on, someone can ask, call, text, em, dm, Facebook or Twitter you one of these Q’s, and I swear, I want to “go off” on that person so bad, they have no idea! So… (more…)
