Don’t let anyone steal your Greatness

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”~Dr Seuss

Be who you are! What an empowering challenge. Most of us are tempted to do what we feel others what us to do. Or act in a way that feels “unlike” us, so we will be accepted and liked. What a trap! Only in being who we truly are will we become who God has created us to be!

God created you for greatness…

Don’t let anyone steal that!

.

Just be yourself, be a giver, and God will send those who will love you, and help you walk in the greatness God has for you.

Pastors Openly Confess Sin!

Last week at a Pastors Conference

Some of the pastors present confessed they had struggled with the lack of faith and prayer. Reading that really broke my heart! Any of us who have been in ministry for any length of time understand how easy it is to fall into that TRAP!

But I have learned a great lesson…

When you “feel” to beat up, put down or left down to pray. Listen carefully…the physical is opposite from the spiritual. When our physical bodies get hungry we eat, and then we aren’t hungry anymore. However, in our spiritual lives, when we aren’t hungry, we must… Continue Reading…

No Change…No Growth!

Change is difficult!

If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.~Anatole France

Change is not the train we generally “run down to get on.” Most times we have to be taken at gun point to get on the “change train.” Therein lies the paradox. If we don’t change, we will never reach our dreams, fulfill our God given passions and visions. Continue Reading…

Are you an UGLY bridge?

A great friend of mine took this photo…
.

it took him forever to get the shot just right, and it shows the beauty and majestic presence of this beautiful bridge. It got me to thinking… we are supposed to be like bridges for people. Continue Reading…

3-Most FREEING words in the Bible!

A “down time” in church “stuff” came a few years back.

You know things aren’t growing the way you want, people aren’t stepping up the way you think they should. You are praying for new leaders and the number seems to dwindle, rather than g…row! Then one morning, while

crying out to God in normal whinny fashion God gave me this…

the Lord added… (Acts 2.47)  Wow!

I can’t add a thing! It is not my responsibility…, Continue Reading…

Don’t pick THAT fruit!

You can survive on that…

.

You can survive, but never THRIVE when you feed on the over ripened fruit lying on the ground or the ones on the lower limbs! You know what I mean…  don’t settle for anything less than all God has for you!

At times when it’s a struggle to reach the high fruit, the ones that seem to be out of reach.  We may be tempted to “settle” for the easy to reach fruit. Because we are hungry…hungry to say we have accomplished something or have finished a task, we want to look for the easy and fast finish. But usually that’s a cop-out and… Continue Reading…

3-Things I wish I had known…

As you move through life, you go through “seasons.” Where things change, some seasons are so powerful, it seems everything changes. I was talking with a friend yesterday who has gone through one of those seasons and his comment after serving a church for about six months was, “I’m not as smart… Continue Reading…

Mix it up! Put the Lime in the Coconut!

O how easy it is to get in a rut! I have found it very difficult my whole life not to get in a rut! I hate the RUT! Someone once defined a rut as “a grave with the ends knocked out.” I have discovered that if I allow myself to be in a rut in any one area… Continue Reading…

Is this SUPPOSED to be this hard?

I don’t know? “I guess so.”  “Well, maybe not.” “It depends on how you look at it.”
