Where in the World are you going?

We walk by faith, and not by sight.

That must be our mantra if we have a desire to please God, and be at the right place at the right time, with the right people! I love this cartoon, it’s not where “I intended to go.”

In other words a strong reminder that everyday we have to die to what “we intend to do, or where we intend to go” and follow God blindly, recklessly and dangerously to the place we “Needed” to be!

I don’t want to be anywhere else…in the world!

No Change…No Growth!

Change is difficult!

If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living.~Anatole France

Change is not the train we generally “run down to get on.” Most times we have to be taken at gun point to get on the “change train.” Therein lies the paradox. If we don’t change, we will never reach our dreams, fulfill our God given passions and visions. Continue Reading…

Do you have your “Spiritual Soup?”

I spent the day yesterday with a young, ambitious, still seeking, not quite understanding, still questioning, big dreaming future leader. Through the day as we talked and laughed, he summed up all of his inquires with a a great question basically…

How do get what I need, when I don’t yet have it. (i.e., vision, passion, anointing & leadership skills)

He just wanted to know my story. I felt in some way… Continue Reading…

What do YOU do when YOU get mad at God?

As leaders we have a lot of opportunities to get mad. This person said this, that person didn’t do that, they did what? The list is endless. But, how often to you get mad at God? And… is that OK?

Honestly, I get mad with God… well… often! Not a “I hate you” kinda mad, but a “ahh seriously God?” Kinda mad. However, all of us, will have the opportunity… Continue Reading…

5-Things more important than your Church

I’m sitting in a hotel room in Mississippi (10hr  drive from home), I’m here serving my wife on a work project that had simply overwhelmed her, and she really needed my help. Through tears and shaking hands she asked me, no really begged me to take a couple days off “church stuff” to help her. “How can I do that!??” Continue Reading…

Don’t cut it, if you can “Untie” it!

I was reading a blog today by Paul Anderson-Walsh He was addressing the issue of how leaders and pastors have left a lot people behind, because many are just to difficult and require to much energy to deal with. Many pastors are themselves hurt, and we know “hurt people hurt people”… Continue Reading…

God doesn’t care if I drive a PINK CADILLAC!

God doesn’t care if I drive a pink Cadillac! That’s what a guy told me the other day in our conversation about finding God’s purpose for his life. He didn’t understand how much he really means to God.

I asked him if he had kids, yea… three. Do you have an opinion about where they go to school, who the date or marry, where they go… Continue Reading…

5- Ways to Find & Keep Friends

Screen shot 2010-03-19 at 11.04.21 AM“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” — C.S. Lewis

It has been said that friends are the truest treasure. I think that has great truth, unfortunately, there are few that find these treasures in quality & fewer those that find quality & quantity! Having invested in relationships that I thought were good, only to find myself disheartened and betrayed. Continue Reading…

The…ATTITUDE of a DANGEROUS Christ follower!

ShortHeader-FollowingGodThe attitude of a dangerous Christ follower is one of simple abandonment! Everything is abandoned for the sake of the calling of Christ. Our hunger and devotion to God must be THE most important thing in our lives. All else must be dim in comparison if we are to win the daily war against all the distractions that are battling for 1st place in our minds and lives.

I wrote this in my journal this morning. This is my commitment today to have an attitude of a dangerous Christ follower… Continue Reading…
