The past several days we have been at our annual "staff retreat." I must say we have an incredible team!

No.4- Must watch body Part!

#4- Watch your Hand! In Scripture we are referred to as being "seated at the right hand of the Father with Christ!" In other words, being at the right hand, is a place of honor and favor! What a great place to be! It is a highly exalted place, and  Jesus paid the ultimate price for our privilege to be there.

As a leader, you have the ability to put others "at your right hand." You can favor others, and bring some close, and place them into your inner circle.

Be careful who you put at your right hand! Those closest to you, can be the greatest blessing or the biggest curse! Continue Reading…

The STICKS! Waz up!!!

Charles "Chazzdaddy" Hill & me, talking about the handing off of the baton of leadership. Charles is a humble and obedient man of God! The Lord told him he could no longer run theSticks, that he had to lay it down and focus on his current church plant. So I was asked to pray about taking over theSticks and making it apart of the COMB Network. It is a match with "GOD" written all over it!

You better know what the "Z" looks like!

I was talking with  a friend yesterday (Dino Senesi). We were talking church planting strategy for the Comb Network. He made a statement that is so simple and profound. He said ‘We must move forward with Z-A thinking." What he meant was, we need to understand fully the type of leaders we want to produce, down to the last detail. Then and only then will we understand what we need to put in place in order for that Continue Reading…

5-Final signs your church might SUCK!

1. You hate to delegate.

No one should fly alone! And you will crash and burn if you don’t pull a team around you. Ministry and church work is a battlefield wrought with difficulties and a strong adversary. If you choose not to share the load, and allow others to carry out their "specialty" it will be to your own demise!  Do what ONLY YOU… Continue Reading…

5-Signs your church might SUCK!

I was reading a business blog the other day, called "15-signs your business sucks!" As I read it, it became apparent these signs  apply to the church. I have no intention of equalizing the church with any type of business. But rather passionate about finding another missing piece to help my fellow gladiators who are fighting for the Kingdom and serious about making an eternal impact. So it is in that spirit I ask you this question, does your church have any of these (5) signs… Continue Reading…

Is it OK, to kick it ol’ School, (or new school)?

Screen shot 2010-03-24 at 8.16.17 PMOur church is launching a new service the weekend after Easter called Cornerstone Classic! It’s our 3rd service (8:30), and we are offering a "classic" service. That is NOT TRADITIONAL, but as we call it, "same stuff, softer style." We will worship with a little older contemporary songs, some updated hymns, brighter lights in the worship center & the sound level down 5-10 db’s.

Some say we are moving away from "who we are." Well I have always seen us being anywhere it takes to win the most for the Kingdom of God! This is the question…is it OK to offer different "venues" of worship styles, or is that compromising on your identity as a church?

Give me your opinion bellow (↓).

6 Steps to…Simple Church Planting

ShortHeader-ChurchPlantingThere are a lot of new buzz words and strategies these days for planting churches. I must admit, I am from a small town and I need things to be simple in order to understand them.
