A Black-Man in a White-Man’s Body
I lead a large diverse church. So, that’s what some call me. I’m sooo cool with that! There are just so many things that make leading a multi-ethnic church so awesome, that once in that place, you just could never do anything else.
One of the coolest things is the "Rumors" you hear around town from the "outsiders" who have no idea of the incredible life change that is going on inside. They love to say things like…
"That pastor doesn’t know what color he is"
"His wife is black" (African-White, born on the mission field)
"Is that a White church that Blacks go to?"
"Is that a Black church that Whites go to?"
Don’t they have issues with "Mixed marriages?"
A Multi-Ethnic church is straight biblical. So anything that is following God’s heart, and changing a community is bound to cause a rumor mill. I am sooo cool with that!

The world isn’t all bad, part of the "world" are others around you. Other leaders organizations, church leaders, bloggers, authors and the latest gurus. Most of these are great. They are following God, movers and shakers, setting the world on fire.

5-Do these. Don’t act like a Moron!
As a leader it is very difficult to keep things in balance
You act like a Moron, when things are out of balance and you feel bad.. I heard a great man of God say, "the hardest thing you will ever do as a leader is to maintain balance." I heard that some 20 years ago, and it still resounds as loud as ever with truth.
I have heard others say "balance" is a myth, and an oxymoron for a leader. Leaders go from extreme to extreme, and if they hit all the areas frequently enough with some "extremeism" they are balanced, that’s CRAP! Not only is it crap, it’s down right dangerous!
