4-Ways to Recover after being “Bitten”
Recently my wife and spent a few days in the mountains with some friends. One night we built a fire, and while sitting
around I felt something crawl up my leg and bite me on my calf. You know the drill…
jump up holler, hit slap and shake your leg, followed by immense scratching and the inevitable, “how many more are up my leg!?“
Once you are bitten by bug or buddy, you get paranoid. You feel “things” that aren’t really there. You see things that arent’ really there. You are always looking and feeling, convinced that any moment you are going to feel the sing of another bite.
 Know where you Sit
Know who is around you. Take an inventory of those you do life with. Your friends, your trusted friends. Your collages and those on your team. Remember this…
God and Satan…Both choose who will be AROUND you, but you choose who will be WITH you!
 Know where you Stand
It’s vital that you know you are doing exactly what God wants you to do . If you are fickle and going back and forth, and someone hurts you, you take it personally. However, if you are “biten” by someone for doing what God has called you to do, it lessens the sting.Â
You can just blame it on God! “This isn’t my thing, God called me to do this.”Â
Know when to Walk
When you follow God, sometime there will be relationships that just aren’t good to continue at the same level, at the next level where God is taking you. When you recognize that, begin to sloooowly walk to a lighter level in the relationship. You don’t want to burn any bridges, but sometimes you have to pull back some.Â
Know when to Run
When you recognize that you have a “Toxic” person in your life, that’s when you run! Toxic people are tools of the enemy, they are negative, judgmental, pretentious and harmful. Do it lovingly, but you simply must run from people like that.Â
They can completely derail what God would have you to do.Â
Have you ever been biten? How are you dealing with it now?
