There is Power in the Pain
My oldest daughter stuck her finger in the electrical socket.
We taught all our kids, NOT to put their fingers in the electrical sockets, but my strongest willed one decided to “test” our theory. It was met with PAIN!
She understood the power that was in those little holes!
There is incredilble…
Power in Pain
But only…if we learn from it. When we learn and grow through pain there is tremendous power that helps on our journey and others we choose to help on their on journey.
Power for Peace
When you get hit with pain and make it through, the next time pain comes, there is greater peace.
- You know it doesn’t last
- You know God works all things for our good
- You can comfort others who have that same pain
Power for Prayer
Our worship leaders’ daughter drowned. She had “irreversible” brain damage. Well…that was not God’s plan! God is healing her every day! And other parents from around the country contact him and his wife to pray for other kids who have drowned.Â
When they pray, they pray with great authority! They have seen God come through in HUGE ways despite the pain. When they pray, there’s great power there. Â
Power for Perseverance
“This too shall pass.” Great words of encouragement while in the midst of pain. When you know God has your best and your back, and have seen it before, you can hang! You can hold on through it, rather than giving up and letting go just before victory comes.Â
“Count it all joy by brothers!”
Are you in a place of pain right now? Hold on, Power is coming!

“No Pain, No Gain.” It’s not just a slogan for athletes anymore. And sometimes (if not most of the time), transforming pain into gain is a powerful key to success that leads to personal development and growth. This post serves a good reminder, Artie!
