If You never Cut-Off your Hand..You’ll never see one Grow Back!

Today was one of the greatest joys I’ve ever experienced in some 30-Years of ministry.

“Severing my Right-Hand!”

Ja Cook has labored with me and for me for the past eight years and his last Sunday with us at our main campus was today! He leaves next weekend to start a new church with us in a small town called Clover, SC. (Pop 4300). Our new campus will be “Cornerstone Clover” and the launch is planned for this fall.

As we prayed over him and his wife this morning in our services, I was flooded with emotion. I ran through all the problems we had, and the ones we solved together. I remembered all the “side line” conversations where some the greatest ideas were birthed. Where he was when he started and who has become played through my mind like a movie.

Bottom line…

There’s not many things in the work of the Kingdom as satisfying and moving as seeing one of your own, one that you really love and poured into, sprout wings and fly high to another appointed place to expand the Kingdom! And watch them carry on with great skill and maturity the very things you entrusted them with.

The Big Asks!

Do you have a right hand? And if you do, are willing to severe it, so they can find their own and you can grow another?
