Until? Until What?
Ever hear that? It’s a five letter word that can kill. It can be the resting place for complacncy, fear, indecision or lack of vision. We use "until" to excuse ourselves from taking action or following through.
Unfortunately, "until" never arrives for many. We keep changing the parameters of our "until." Do any of these sound familiar?
- Until we get the right leaders, we can’t plant a new church
- Until the funds come in, we can’t add that
- Until we get enough volunteers we have to wait on that
- Until I get some extra time, I can’t exercise
- Until the right time comes, I’ll wait on inviting them
- Until it "feels" right, I’m just gonna wait
- Until they ask me, I can’t do anything
- Until…Until… Until
Until What? Until When? Until Who?
Don’t say…"Until." Rather say,
- When God says Go, we will move
- When God says Plant, we will plant
- When God says Stop, we will stop
Wait on God, not the "until" because the until may never come, and you will miss the God thing!
