Refocus. Not "Hocus Pocus"

I have been running around and been real busy lately. All great "stuff" all kingdom stuff, but just too much stuff! Even the right things can so easily drain all our reserves and blur our focus. Well, I think that’s where I am today.

I was thinking and praying last night, there were so many tasks, projects & ideas just running through my head, I could hardly slow them down. Then it hit me "Focus Danielson, must focus power." (cheesy Karate kid pun)

For the sake of not just doing the right things, or good things, but knowing I am doing the God thing, I must REFOCUS. This week I am rescheduling things to spend exended times in prayer, meditating in His Word & reading the Word.

This so vital for leaders, especially the type A, go all out, go all in types. We have to schedule times, all the time to refocus and be reminded about what is most important. There is no other way, no hocus pocus magic iPhone app will do it for us. It takes TIME to refocus.

You may need to do the same. Refocus, not hocus pocus!

How do you Refocus?

Great thoughts, Artie! This is something many of us struggle with, and I think you hit on the key point…we all need to stop and focus our prayer and thoughts on seeking God in the midst of the chaos.

We can get so caught up in the "stuff" that we completely miss Him.

Thanks for the reminder, and keep up the good work!

    I agree, it’s just that…

It’s easier said than done. That’s why Christ’s example is so powerful, because He stayed connected with our Father even when the crowds crushed in so often.

Thanks Tim I found that generally the God thing to do is the hardest thing to do.

I write down the one thing that I’m going to do (focus on) and it’s a contract with myself–nothing else until that one thing is done!
