What are you serving up? Fresh or Fake…

I have been reading in Luke for a couple of days, looking at how Jesus led, and fed those around Him, in other words, I’m looking at Jesus through the lens of being a leader and pastor.

This really hit me this morning. In Luke 5.15&16, it says…

…reports were spread about Jesus, and great multitudes came to hear and be healed. So, He often withdrew into the wilderness to pray.

When we bring the Word to anyone, be it a friend, the family, neighbor, group or church. The word we bring must be God breathed. It must come from our time with God, and hearing from God in order for the word we speak on His behalf to have power to change.

Jesus knew the Word, he authored it, yet as a man He knew he could not depend on His knowledge, bur rather hear freshly from the Father and the Spirit in order to know what to say in order to bring life and healing to those who hear.

Don’t fake your way through just depending on what you know, but follow the example of Jesus, and withdraw frequently to hear something fresh from the Father, and that which you hear will bring life, healing & hope to those who hear…
