Approval before Acceptance. Wrong!

I have been working on a church planting movement, talking to national leaders, researching and putting strategies together, and to be honest, I am quite frustrated! Maybe I was naive, but there is so much division in the church. I really thought we were making progress in working together for the Kingdom, and I’m sure we are in some area’s but there is still so much angst, honestly, it breaks my heart…

How can THE CHURCH of Jesus Christ reach a lost Nation, peoples & groups if we are throwing darts at each other. I guess this nothing new. They had to deal with this in the NT church as well, (some of Paul, Apollos & Jesus), but our time is drawing to a close! Come on guys… Stop it already!

Don’t think you have to “approve” of someone’s theology or doctrine before you can lock arms and run to the gates of hell together rescuing souls! Don’t put “approval” before “acceptance”, that is wrong & ungodly! Focus on the main things, and let us keep the others on the side lines.

But are we not supposed to have the same basic doctrine correct? If we do not agree even on the basic of doctrine, Virgin birth, Death, Resurrection of Christ repenting and turning from our sin; how are we to lock arms with “Christians” that do not believe these things? Or are you talking about something different?

Of course we have to be in unity with those who agree on the “majors” but there are so many that don’t want to accept someone until they get their life right.. We must love as Jesus did. The unlivable. We love them into the Kingdom, and the Spirit then begins to transform them into the image of Christ.
