10-Things I Wish I hadn’t done!

top-ten.

When you look back over your life of family, relationships, ministry & "stuff", there are always lessons to be learned. I have come to realize I would much rather learn from others’ "hard knocks" rather than learning them on my own. So over my life experiences in no particular order, the 10-things I wish I hadn’t done!

1. Charge all those things "I had to have" to the credit card I didn’t need.

2. Give my heart to people who had no intention of guarding it.

3. Put someone in leadership out of desperation instead of inspiration.

4. Be so quick to say yes, because you can never put the bullet back in the gun.

5. Depend on my gift of wisdom, rather than waiting on a Word from God.

6. Allowing my self to feel alone, rather than finding other like minded leaders.

7. Not being sensitive to my wife’s dreams, and always pushing my own.

8. Wait so long to have a true friend, learn to pursue the right one and love them!

9. Take so long to understand real faith, because without it I will never please God.

10. I don’t have to have my way, I just need to discover God’s.

11. Bonus! Neglecting World Peace, just in case someone important is reading this!

Great post man! I think my biggest one would be a friend of mine that died when I was a senior in High School. I asked him several times about his salvation and he never really gave me an answer.

I wish I wouldn’t have thought that I had the rest of my life to talk to him about his salvation.

WOW! Man that is a heavy one, but a sobering reminder, "no man is promised tomorrow." Thanks for the comment bro!

Sorry to get heavy on ya. :) The situation did open up other great opportunities. Since then, I’ve never thought, "Ill get to it later" when it comes to a Christ conversation.
