Header-HuhDid you know your face (your countenance) is a reflection of your heart? Your expressions and mannerisms are like an indicator panel of a car. If something on the inside is low or out of whack, a warning light goes off! Our warning lights are looks of sadness, despair, anger, or bitterness. Believe me these are WARNING lights, and your looks do matter!The reason your looks matter is because people will evaluate you as a Christ-Follower. (i.e., Do I want to be like them?, Do they have something I want?) If they don’t like what they SEE, they will go looking else where for an answer to their spritual emptiness.

And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.6 So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Gen. 4:5-7

Our faces must reflect the joy that should be on the inside and overflowing! If not, find out why. Just like Cain, Satan is at the door, wanting to steal your joy! If that occurs, you can’t hide it. Your face will show it.

Yes, the Bible says, Looks do MATTER!

Psalm 126:3
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

    And none of what will truly change your countenance can be fixed internally. It must come form the heart.

    To often we are "down" because of selfishness. We don’t have…. It didn’t turn out OUR way… ETC.

    If we focus on GOD’s design and mission, we will not lose hope. Joseph is a great example, as is Paul.
