Do you hear… God’s Voice?

ShortHeader-FollowingGodMan shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4: 3-4).

God still speaks to His saints today! I have never met a dangerous Christ-Follower that did not understand what it means to hear God’s voice. They understand that to be in a passionate love relationship with the living God is to yearn for His voice!

To press in close to His heart, to know His will for their lives, for His wisdom for the next decision. The dangerous Christ-Follower will abandon their “fleshly” wisdom, many times disguised as “knowledge”, and look to God with humility knowing His ways are above their ways. They don’t seek to understand why God does what He does, they just seek to hear and obey.

Understand this. If you develop the spiritual discipline of hearing God’s voice, this is what will occur.

  • You faith will soar! You will know what you are doing is from God, no more guessing!
  • You can do some chillaxen!  If God authored the idea, then He is responsible for the outcome. No stress!
  • You know it will turn out great! If God spoke it, it will come to pass. He doesn’t allow things to turn to crap!
  • You know it will be finished. He will finish the good work He started! He doesn’t have to finish what YOU started!

Take some time; make sure you are actively listening to God. He has tons of things to speak to you about your family, your kids, your next job, your church, your ministry and even where to go on your next vacation! He cares so much for you and has something for you in EVERYTHING you do. But you have to be willing to listen and recognize when He speaks!
