In great matters men show themselves as they wish to be seen; in small matters, as they are. –Gamaliel Bradford
I’m sure you are familiar with the play Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, where Dr. Jekyll has a mean, greedy, murderous nemesis living within him. Believe it or not, many of us are walking along a similar path!
All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (1Pt 5.5)
A dangerous Christ-Follower must, must, they must be humble! Why? Because that verse is some scary crap! Can you imagine the God of the universe OPPOSING you!
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4: 3-4).
God still speaks to His saints today! I have never met a dangerous Christ-Follower that did not understand what it means to hear Godâs voice. They understand that to be in a passionate love relationship with the living God is to yearn for His voice!
A dangerous Christ-follower is a powerful person! They charge forward in reckless abandonment, hell-bent on accomplishing all that God has called them to do! The dangerous Christ-Follower has an attitude of excellence! That means you never settle for less than your very best with your available time, resources, and talents. That means your excellence level could be different than someone else’s level. So, never compare yourself with others. However, look to others for creative ideas, ways of improvement, and inspiration. I have found these few attitudes have helped me keep things in an environment of excellence…
